The Sung Siu Kwong Almanac clearly foretells this month as a positive one. Two reasons for this are that firstly, the year of the Rat is a very good year for most people born in the year of the Monkey; secondly, when analysing how the CHI 气 (trad. - 氣) flows for the Monkey, ancient knowledge says that the Earth of the Goat creates the Metal of the Monkey. This means that the month’s influence will make the Monkey stronger, more able and eager to learn and talk. If you are a Monkey, talking is one of the best things to do now, not because it is entertaining but because it is a highly formative process. You will learn not only from other people’s experience, but also from their cultures. At the end of the month of the Goat you should know more than at the start.
