Dog

Fidelity, one of the proverbial qualities of Man’s best friend, is also very much present as one of the many attributes those born in the year of the Dog possess. When they elect someone worthy of their friendship, their dedication is total and unconditional. For them, their friends “are always right” even when, from an objective point of view, this is not the case.
However, this unflinching loyalty has its cost because a pledge made from a Dog does not necessarily mean its focus is worthy of such attention. If the Dog comes to realize that those he trusts do not deserve his confidence, his reaction may be radical or even violent.

Another canine characteristic shared by those born under the Dog’s influence is an extraordinary intuition (that comes from the animal’s keen sense of smell). For example, they sense from a distance the onset of any danger. But, as Chinese tradition states, this gift can become burdensome, if they begin to imagine dangers at every turn, then they will become increasingly anguished and pessimistic.

They like to work and so, at the start, they are well equipped for success, whether professionally or in financial terms. Only, for them, the end does not always justify the means in respect of possible wealth and achievement. Here, the human side and personal ethics is shown to be a part of life that cannot be ignored. That is why on occasion, Dog’s do not get as far as they would like because of others people’s unscrupulous behaviour. Dogs do however sleep soundly at night...
