Rat

People born under the influence of the Rat are natural survivors, just like the rodents that symbolize them. In any given situation, their intuition guides them in good times and alerts them to potential danger in bad. It is this same intuition that they use to pursue success and thus make apparently illogical decisions. Although in the end, these choices prove themselves to be right after all.

Rats live their lives with their eyes wide open and are always trying to understand what goes on around them. That is why they have the knack of seizing opportunities that lie in their way and why they excel at finding solutions for problems they are faced with. Their refined intuition even helps them to infer what other people are thinking. In dealing with human relationships, Rats learn how to be charming and popular by saying what people want to hear rather than to set off aggression in others, (rodents know very well what this means).

The Rat’s biggest advantage is its extraordinary talent to adapt and survive, especially in moments of crisis. Here is where they are more than capable of shining. It is this same ability however, that also proves to be their greatest downfall. Indeed, as a result of this survival instinct, people born under the influence of the Rat often set their goals too low, as opposed to fully realizing their potential. They simply take advantage of the opportunities that arise instead of actively looking for their own path. At the end of the day, they may very well be left with the feeling that they could have achieved much more in life.
